Paradigm Engineers and Constructors provided architectural, electrical and structural engineering design, equipment layout streamlining and cost estimation for the renovation and occupancy of a new 50,000 sq. ft. concrete and steel facility. The highlight of this project was the design for build out of a 9,000 sq. ft. office, which included cantilevered and fixed balconied offices and conference spaces, as well as a glass tread staircase system. Lean manufacturing.
Regarding the rest of the facility, new dock bays had to be designed, complete with drainage capability and durability to handle extremely heavy payloads. The electrical design scope included replacing the existing limited lighting system with a completely new lighting system that supported both the manufacturing processes as well as the office build out. The complete lean manufacturing design required roughly $300,000 worth of construction, with construction bids within +/- 5%.
