New Entrance Building
Client: VA Medical Center, Lebanon, Pennsylvania
Paradigm Engineers and Constructors designed a new entrance that connects the south entrance of building 1 to the new entrance of the surgery building 104. The scope of work includes all design disciplines and involves the following:
- Extensive construction coordination will be provided, as the entrances to these areas will need to remain operational
- Stringent phasing plan reflecting proper work times and coordination with the hospital
- New entrance area will be aesthetically inviting and convenient, connecting two buildings
- New windows
- New main and side doors
- Enhanced force protection measures via anti-ram barrier planters, benches, CCTV and anti-blast systems
- HVAC system with VAV systems w/ DDC control are required
- Patient privacy enhanced through concealed waiting area
- Planetree principles utilized throughout
- LEED design principles followed
