Expand Production Capacity

Provided project management for tank farm expansion encompassing design, fabrication and installation of multiple petroleum storage tanks complete with piping installation, structural support and DCS controls. The project management aspect also included full scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance inspection and full subcontractor management. The technical engineering requirements entailed oversight of the electrical contractor’s detailed work regarding interlock controls and programming for all valving, metering, pipe flow, etc. The project was completed on time and 5% under budget for a total cost of $375,000. This project implementation increased client productivity by 15% for corresponding product lines.  Expand Production Capacity.

Upgrade to DCS System

Provided project management for the changeover to a modern Distributed Control System (DCS) encompassing design, fabrication, pre-qualification, installation and testing of the entire system. Incidental to the work was new piping manifold systems, all new valving and controls, new distribution panels, replacement of the Uninterruptable Power Sources (UPS), scale replacement and runs of thousands of feet of conduit and wire. The project was completed on time and under budget for a total cost of $2.2 million.
