Nutrition & Food Service (N&FS) Kitchen Renovation – Building 5
Client: VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Montrose, New York
Paradigm is providing the following architecture and engineering services for this Montrose VAMC kitchen renovation project:
- Complete the new construction of the kitchen and the renovation of the cleaning/washing area
- Address and resolve any current code and/or design/construction issues concerning Building 5
- Complete the renovation of an administration/office area
- Assess and correct any deficiencies in the currently installed but inoperable fire sprinkler system in Building 5
- Assess and correct any deficiencies, as well as completing the design, of the existing HVAC system to be fully compatible with renovated areas
- Address an existing inoperative/uncommissioned roof-mounted air handling unit
- Assess and correct any deficiencies in the electrical distribution panels to allow connection to a new exterior pad-mounted transformer and new distribution panels
- Coordinate with on-site kitchen administration staff for guidance on existing and new kitchen equipment
- Complete interior and MEP renovations to upper floor dining areas
- Replace windows in scope areas to match newer windows that were previously installed
- Prepare a materials catalog with inventory of usable materials stored on site
- Investigate, assess and complete construction and commissioning design of grease line/interceptor system
- Address roof leaks
