Renovate Recreation & Dining Area, Community Living Center

Client: James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx, New York

Paradigm provided architecture and engineering services to renovate the dining area and recreation space on the first floor of the Bronx VAMC’s Building 106, Community Living Center (CLC). Paradigm’s design objective for this Bronx VAMC CLC renovation was to enhance the “Community Living” experience by incorporating design elements that created a more residential, informal communal environment. We achieved this through the use of specific architectural finishes, multi-layered lighting, and informal gathering spaces. The scope included: a sunroom, which had a new roof and new floor installed; restrooms; CLC room; lighting; and kitchen/dining.
