Cardiology Improvements
Client: Tennessee Valley Healthcare System
Paradigm provided complete design services for the partial renovation of the 9,000 SF Nashville VAMC Cardiology Center to improve the functionality, flow, and environment of care. The main focus of the project was to increase, reconfigure, and improve treatment rooms, testing rooms, and the staff work area. By designing a modernization of this area and upgrading wayfinding to improve the patient experience, Paradigm made the clinical process more efficient for this Cardiology Center.
The Nashville VAMC’s Cardiology department is an extremely busy environment that needed to remain operational during construction. The design therefore included phased construction to minimize disruptions within the department.
Goals of the project included increasing the number of exam rooms, building a nurses’ station, and modifying the waiting room. In addition, the design included updated finishes for several exam rooms, as well as the executive offices.
