New Community Living Center Design
Paradigm is currently providing architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical engineering services for the design of an approximately 23,500 square foot vertical expansion to the existing Atlanta VAMC CLC. Paradigm is incorporating holistic healing concepts into the design, utilizing planetree and LEED design principles throughout.
The new fourth floor will have 28 private patient suites (14 on each wing), approximately 240-260 SF each. Each suite will have a private ABA restroom with shower to allow patient privacy. Outside of each patient room, a shadow box will allow patients to personalize their space. Each room will also have a patient lift and nurse call.
Each wing will have a living and dining space, including a coffee/bistro bar and salon, as well as a waiting and administration area and a receptionist station. A centralized nurse station will be near a gathering space that can accommodate all of the floor’s patients.
Because this is a fourth floor addition, a hydraulic elevator replacement and the demolition and abatement of the third-floor roof is part of this project scope.
