Paradigm provided architectural, electrical and structural engineering design, equipment layout streamlining, and cost estimation for the renovation and occupancy of a new 50,000 square foot concrete and steel facility. The highlight of this project was the design for a build-out of a 9,000 square foot office, which included cantilevered and fixed offices with balconies and conference spaces, as well as a glass tread staircase system.
Regarding the rest of the facility, new dock bays had to be designed, complete with drainage capability and durability to handle extremely heavy payloads. The electrical design scope included replacing the existing limited lighting system with a completely new lighting system that supported both the manufacturing processes and the office build-out. This complete lean manufacturing design required roughly $300,000 worth of construction, with construction bids within +/- 5%.
